Today, one of the topics as vital as the production of energy is energy quality. The network analyzer (energy analyzer), one of the various devices developed to serve the purpose of transmitting and distributing electricity in a high quality and without interruption, is in the most general terms a high technology device that allows continuous monitoring and recording of energy.

Where is the Network Analyzer Used?

Network analyzers can make device-based local measurements in many other areas such as compressors, motors, cooling systems, lighting units, and they are also multifunctional devices that are used extensively for large-scale, system-based measurements such as electrical transmission and distribution plants, industrial facilities or buildings.

They particularly measure almost all electrical parameters that are essential to know in plants, such as RMS value of the current, phase angles, single phase-three phase voltage and RMS values, active-reactive power values, power factor, average and maximum powers, active power consumed per hour, and network frequency. They display these values on the screen, save them in memory and store them if desired.

One of the most important features is that they can be monitored and controlled through remote monitoring software in a computer environment within the scope of communication protocols. Due to such benefits it provides, it has become a must for the facilities in recent years.

Faults in power lines are one of the most important technical problems in the industry. While it is extremely difficult to detect these faults alone, precious time is also lost during the detection phase. Network analyzers provide the relevant units with the opportunity to respond to these faults as soon as possible, as disruptions, redundancies and losses in the power lines can be detected instantly.

Network analyzers are used as key devices for energy saving in "energy efficiency" projects aimed at meeting the need for high quality energy and power, which has become more and more in important in recent years.

In line with these projects, harmonic components are determined as well as the effect of running units on the system, hidden consumptions, overloads, and other faults come to light as a result of monitoring and deeply analyzing the energy consumption characteristics of a system with an energy analyzer.

If the technical problems mentioned are eliminated and especially hidden consumptions are prevented, the quality of the energy used increases significantly. Thanks to this increase, energy gains of at least 10-15% are achieved in the system, which greatly relieves the cost burden on the system.
